This Privacy Policy describes how BetterApps LLC ("Wizzmo," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Wizzmo Ambassador Program at ambassadors.wizzmo.app (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account.
School Directory Information: When you sign in with a Google Workspace account (e.g., a .edu email) that has been granted administrative directory permissions by your institution, we request the directory.readonly scope to access your organization's directory through the Google Workspace Directory API. This may include names, email addresses, departments, titles, and phone numbers of members in your organization's directory. This data powers the "Invite Students" feature in the ambassador dashboard, which allows you to browse your university's directory and send referred email invitations to students for campus events. Because directory access requires administrative permissions granted by your institution, your authorization constitutes institutional consent for directory data to be shared with Wizzmo for the purpose of campus community outreach. This access is further governed by the permissions and administrative settings configured by your Google Workspace organization.
Referral Data: We track referral links and ambassador activity to attribute campus growth and calculate ambassador rewards.
2. How We Use Your Information

- To facilitate campus outreach and community building on behalf of our ambassadors
- To send personalized invitations to members of your school community about the Wizzmo platform
- To track ambassador performance, referrals, and reward eligibility
- To improve and develop our services
- To communicate with you about your ambassador account and program updates
3. Referral Authorization & Directory Data
By authenticating with your Google Workspace account, you — as a holder of administrative directory permissions granted by your institution — are referring all individuals within your organization's contact directory to the Wizzmo platform. Your authentication constitutes both your personal consent and, by virtue of the administrative permissions your institution has granted you, institutional authorization for Wizzmo to:
- Access your organization's directory through the Google Workspace Directory API
- Collect names, email addresses, and other directory information accessible through your administratively-privileged account
- Send referred communications to directory members on your behalf to introduce them to the Wizzmo platform
- Retain this information for the purpose of operating and growing the Wizzmo campus community
Only users whose Google Workspace accounts have been granted directory-level administrative permissions by their institution can authorize this access. Standard student accounts without administrative privileges cannot trigger directory access. This ensures that directory sharing is authorized at an institutional level, not merely by individual students. Each school domain is synced once.
Directory data is used solely to facilitate campus community outreach and introductions to the Wizzmo platform. We do not sell directory information to third parties, use it for advertising purposes, or share it with unrelated services.
4. Data Storage & Security
We store data using Supabase, which provides encryption at rest and in transit. Access to directory data is restricted to authorized personnel and automated systems necessary to operate the ambassador program. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers: Third-party services that help us operate the platform (e.g., Supabase for data storage, Google for authentication)
- As required by law: If required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process
6. Data Retention
We retain directory data for as long as it is needed to operate the ambassador program at each school. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Ambassador account data is retained for the duration of your participation in the program.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data
- Revoke Google directory access at any time through your Google Account settings
- Withdraw from the ambassador program at any time
8. Google API Services
Wizzmo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we request the following OAuth scope:
- directory.readonly — Used to read your university's Google Workspace directory so you can browse and invite students to campus events through the "Invite Students" feature in the ambassador dashboard.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify ambassadors of any material changes via email or through the ambassador dashboard.
